Yes, I'm extra charged with infinite flowing goodness.

I love walking, I always have. I can walk for miles and miles..It is my moving meditation..the pineal is open, body activated with flowing blood and I'm breathing in Hu! and exhaling OM!

I am so focused on just BEING when I walk and to just let go and open completely...
I met a kindred spirit and we talked and laughed..We recognized each other from the spiritual realm where the immortals dwell...that realm we all have access to...

Living by water is a must...It is therapy at it's best...
I write, I sing, I chant, I praise the One who created it all...

Enjoy life, and Just BE...

I just recently went to my family reunion. It was refreshing and has me reflecting on my life on another level.

Over the past 5 to 7 years, I knew I had a special childhood that most people I meet didn't experience. And that is just from having two parents in my household who loved each other, respected each other and to this day still married 50 years...Most men I met and women didn't have a clue what this was like and it made it so much more difficult to have relationships, with the opposite sex because most had not seen a functional working marriage and been around it all their lives..And I look at most of my aunts and uncles who are still married 45 plus years....

Also I call myself a city-country girl. I grew up in Chicago but in the summers we were off to Mississippi to visit my grandparents on the land we still have today; Went fishing, horseback riding and helped garden and farm. This was just a regular part of my life..And now I realize how much I cherish those memories...Most of my friends have never experienced doing those things with family if they grew up in a big city...

I am also happy my oldest daughter got to visit our land down south and see what I was talking about all these years and to rub her feet in the same red dirt...and roll down the same hill and walk the same path in the woods...and I look forward to taking my youngest...

It is so important to know where you came from and keep your family legacies going...this is my foundation that helped to shape me into being a faithful, discipline, family oriented being today...and I am truly grateful....

Where have you been?

Where have you been? Some may ask this question.


My debut album "TASLEEM" came out a few years ago and now I am about to release a few projects. It took me a minute because I am also a radio host and I meet so many talented artist and individuals that have greatly inspired me. They are on such dynamic and professional levels, I am deeply humbled. With this said, I learned so much in the last few years to help me expand and grow as a human and artist. Also I had the honor to work and study with some great composers and musicians. So the next projects, I will share my growth and my new experiences. I am working to put it into the msuic,etc to bring you something so organic and totally me, well the me where I am at this time; to show and express my growth and experiecne. I love to sing, so I will sing more. I started singing as a child in church and this is something that I want to put into my next projects. I had to learn to embrace my alto unique tones and go with it to create my sound from my soul...

I pray you love the new projects. I feel like a new person. It feels like I just got started in my career!!!

Oh, I also feel new after having a baby! I will talk about that next post..God willing...
